Youghiogheny 96 and Uro by Yough Sheet Glass
Youghiogheny's growing line growing of COE96 compatible glass is surely a crowd pleaser with a palette of opal and cathedral colors. These glasses are thoroughly tested utilizing the original System 96 guidelines and a dilatometer. Fusing tests are examined with a polariscope to ensure the products fit the set market standards for COE96 fusing.
Youghiogheny produces many glasses that appear different in their cold form but will “strike” or mature to a target color when fired to the right temperature. These "striker" styles are marked with an asterisk (*). Unfired sheets may tend to appear more translucent. Opals will fire best if capped or if overglazes are used.
