STUDIO PRO STAINED GLASS
FINISHING COMPOUND
12 OZ BOTTLE
Formerly known as Clarity or Kem-O-Pro Finishing Compound
The industry standard "finishing touch" for
your work. A premium mix of carnauba wax and micro-polishing agents will
bring up a durable, lasting polished finish to your work.
This product will bring a copper patinated
solder seam to a bright shiny penny copper look. The heavy concentration
of carnauba wax will work to keep the bright look for a long time.
When applying to patinated work, allow the
patina to "set" for a couple of days before using Finishing Compound for
best results.
The wax finish will keep dust from sticking
to lampshades, helping to keep them looking great and minimizing dusting
and cleaning. Especially helpful for lamps hanging in tough to reach
places

PATINA PAL

You will be amazed at how well this little gem works! |
PATINA PAL
Clean your solder seams with the Patina Pal with a neutralizing cleaner such as
CJ's Flux and Patina Cleaners before
applying your patina. It scrubs your solder clean helping to remove any
oxidation while leaving behind no residue. Far superior to steel wool
which can leave tiny bits of steel behind that then rust or turn your
black patina brown.
The brass Patina Pal doesn't shed, doesn't rust,
doesn't scratch glass (especially bevels!).
Lasts and lasts.

HELPFUL HINTS |
- NEVER use too much flux! Excess
flux trapped in your solder seams will corrode your solder from
the inside out, leaving a white, powdery residue. It doesn't
matter how often you scrape this corrosion, it always returns
because the flux is INSIDE the solder bead.
- The answer is to use your flux
as sparingly as possible. Apply with a Q-tip, if need be!
- An extra harsh (ie. industrial
or sheet metal) flux will give you white powder troubles, no
matter how little you use. Be sure your flux is designed to work
with stained glass.
- When used properly, the
fluxes sold by Sunshine Glassworks won't corrode if promptly washed off your work. Use
CJ's Flux and
Patina Remover or Kwik Clean for removing and neutralizing
flux residue.
