Clean your solder seams with the Patina Pal with a neutralizing cleaner such as
CJ's Flux and Patina Cleaners before
applying your patina. It scrubs your solder clean helping to remove any
oxidation while leaving behind no residue. Far superior to steel wool
which can leave tiny bits of steel behind that then rust or turn your
black patina brown.

FLUX BRUSHES
(acid brushes) for applying flux, patina, silver protector etc.
Always use a clean brush for each project. Never go from your
flux container to your patina bottle with the same brush.
NOTE: These are top quality #1
Acid Brushes and are made to last. Horsehair bristles are held
firmly by a staple and then double crimped to the handle. Bristles
are trimmed to a 3/4" length, but feel free to shape or trim to your
preferred size with scissors. Well made product for the same price
as cheapo model offered elsewhere.

HELPFUL HINTS |

When using Patina, it is
always a good idea to wear gloves.
-
Pour a small amount of patina
into a small jar. Use a clean flux brush to apply patina to your solder
seams. For best results, do not pour any left over patina back into the
bottle.

Never park your brush in your
patina. The patina will react with the metal of the brush and you will see
erratic results.
-
When you are finished, clean
up with CJ's or
Kwik Clean, then polish and protect with Liva
Stained Glass Polish.
